Creating Conversation

Another month, another mantra! This month we are focusing on the idea of work for creatives and how to make finding our own rhythms and flow easier and more efficient to decrease the frustration and angst narratives that often surround creativity. By learning how we work best and the conditions we need met to enjoy the process we can remove roadblocks that make creating more difficult for us by dismantling the systems we work within and restructuring them to suit our creative life. What does the mantra mean to you? How do you manage to navigate your work as a creative without a blueprint?

Stepping into my present journey in the world of content creation, blogging and Instagram. I wanted to highlight the message here that it's okay if you don't know what you're doing; experiencing the journey, pushing yourself by trial and error is the best way to learn. I still don't utilize Instagram to the best of its ability, nor do I have the most up to date website designed by professionals with years of experience and data about the online consumer market. I made something I would like, and if I would like it, someone else will too. The second message I want to highlight is to take leaps that bring you closer to achieving your dreams. In this post I talk about getting to a point where I have actually written content for another company with my name attached to it. Paid for my writing. Granted not a book, not fiction, but in my field, out in the world. Reach as far and as high as you can, because the more opportunities you seize, the more opportunities come.

This week I am sharing my dance journey with all of you wonderful humans! It's a long one, but it has taught me so much. From self discipline to overcoming perfectionism, true self expression and understanding creativity, dance has always been at the core of my soul. Most importantly, it has given me mentors, people who have impacted my life profoundly, and I believe that this a key component to developing your creativity.
